- This week’s spelling list: Theme 16-1 List - last one of the year!! Test on Friday.
- Math test Friday over Unit 11
- Social Studies quiz Monday over the first two lessons of Chapter 8 – p. 262-273 (all of these pages are to be read by the student)
- I would highly recommend that all students begin to bring home items that they no longer need this year – specifically, any old papers or other items that have accumulated and are not necessary for our day-to-day classes.
- Our 5th Grade End of Year Celebration is next Wednesday, May 23.
- If your child is an even number, please send 1 box of granola bars.
- If your child is an odd number, please send 1 bag of baby carrots. (If you are not sure whether your child is an odd or even number, just ask them. I guarantee they know their classroom number.)
Thanks to all who came out for the field trip to Milford Lake on Friday! I heard everyone had a great time! I will be posting pictures soon.

WAMEGO SWIM TEAM will be holding their annual registration night on Monday, May 14 at West Elementary from 6:00 – 7:30PM in the lunchroom. Paperwork and registration fees can be turned in at this time. Practice begins on May 29. If you are not able to attend, but want to participate, please contact Nancy Burton at 456-8721.

- Just a reminder that the Relay for Life Coin Drive ends this Friday at West. Thank you for your support of this very worthy cause!
- We still have yearbooks for sale in the office for $12.00 each.
- Finally, we go on our field trip Friday. If you’re going and have returned the note, please make sure you send $3.25 exact (if you are not bringing your own lunch). They can’t make change, and we need to take the lunch count ahead of time.

Hi, everyone! Here is a list of upcoming tests, assignments, activities, and information:
- Thursday, May 3 (tomorrow): math homework due (p. 352, #6,7,8)
- Friday, May 4: Spelling test, reading homework due
- Monday, May 7: Social Studies test (over chapter 7). All students have a social studies notebook filled with great notes and information over this exciting chapter! I will add another post with the power points from each section we have explored together.
- Thursday, May 10: Bowling at K-State –> don’t forget to send in your $3.00
- Friday, May 11: 5th Grade Field Trip! Please return the field trip form indicating whether you will be attending as a group leader (or not) and if your student will be purchasing a sack lunch from the school. (This is a neon green sheet.)
- Tuesday, May 15: Student Wellness Day! A pink sheet went home with ALL students. This sheet MUST be signed and returned. Thanks for your help with this!
